Front and rear cantilever brakes give you plenty of tire clearance and stopping power, and an alloy straight blade fork gives the bike a snappy, fast feel that makes it fun to ride anywhere you take it. The bike rolls on a set of Charge doublewall alloy rims with a flip flop rear hub, so you have a fixed cog on one side, and a freewheel on the other--or you can decide to run two different sized cogs on either side so you can vary your gearing as needed. At the heart of the Charge Plug 2 is a 6061 butted aluminum frame, that's stiff, lightweight, and super durable. Sometimes simplicity is best, and simplicity is exactly what you get with the Charge Plug 1 road bike. It's outfitted with fender and rack mounts, and can clear up to a 42mm+ tire. A single speed drivetrain is simplicity itself, with a single chainring upfront, and a single cog in the back--meaning there are no shifters or derailleurs to mess with, fewer parts to maintain, and it's largely unaffected by the grime and dirt..
