A set of Promax DSK-300 mechanical disc brakes provide all-weather and all-terrain stopping power, so you can brake with confidence no matter where you ride. Custom disc tabs at the rear drop out help stiffen up the rear end for optimal braking performance. Thanks to its aluminum frame, massive tire clearance, and smart component choices, it's a bike that can take you (almost) anywhere you want to ride. Charge outfitted the Plug 2 with a Shimano Claris 8-speed groupset, which delivers 16-gearing combinations so you have plenty of gears to get anywhere you need to go.Charge Plug 2 Road Bike - 2016. A reinforced disc tab on the left fork leg helps keep brake chatter to a minimum. Up front, the Plug 2 features a straight blade carbon fiber fork to help smooth out road (or fire road) chatter and keep the gram count low.9P rims, all wrapped up in Maxxis Roamer Custom 700x42mm tires for plenty of cushion and traction. A great frame is nothing without smart component choices though, and in this are the Plug 2 also excels. It's outfitted with fender and rack mounts, and can clear up to a 42mm+ tire.. Shimano components are famous for their precision and reliability, and you'll get plenty of both with Claris. The wheels are built around a set of Charge Disc hubs, laced to a set of nice and wide Alex DRAW 1. At the heart of the Charge Plug 2 is a 6061 butted aluminum frame, that's stiff, lightweight, and super durable. Charge is well-known for their excellent line saddles, and they've chosen the endurance-minded Spoon model here for plenty of support and comfort.
